Mediation

Disputes are an unavoidable part of life and workplaces. Mediation is a structured process of resolving disputes in which an impartial third party (mediator) facilitates communication between two or more parties who are in conflict. The inTalks mediator’s role is to help the parties reach a mutually acceptable solution by exploring their underlying interests and needs. The mediator does not make a decision or impose a solution. Instead, the parties themselves retain control over the outcome of the mediation process – resulting in a more sustainable solution. The inTalks framework ensures confidentiality, transparency and post mediation follow-up.

Facilitated Discussions

Facilitated discussions are guided conversations that are led by a neutral facilitator who helps participants communicate more effectively and reach a common understanding or decision.
Similar to mediation the facilitator’s role is to encourage all participants to contribute, keep the conversation on track, and ensure that everyone has a chance to be heard.

Facilitated discussions can be used in various contexts, such as in meetings, workshops, and focus groups, to promote open and constructive dialogue among participants. By providing a safe and respectful environment for discussion, facilitated discussions can help people explore different perspectives, build consensus, and make informed decisions.

Facilitated discussion tend to be less structured and enable greater intervention and suggestions from the facilitator.
